Water is flat, bro

Water always seeks its level, not its curve.  Water is a standalone proof that the earth is not a globe.

Water – Nature’s Level
 
"There are rivers that flow for hundreds of miles towards the level of the sea without falling more than a few feet — notably, the Nile, which, in a thousand miles, falls but a foot. A level expanse of this extent is quite incompatible with the idea of the Earth's convexity. Covering roughly seventy-five percent of the earth’s surface, water always seeks its own level. 

If we were living on a curved surface, one of water’s properties would be its curvature; however that is not the case.

In fact, water is the most precise level possible.  It is also worth noting that ‘level’ means perfectly flat, and not curved over long distances.

Water levels are so precise that they can be relied on for professional construction projects. 

Professional Deck Builder magazine, at Deckmagazine.com, describes the precision of water-levels in an article titled ‘Making and Using a Water Level’:

For about the same cost as putting a half tank of gas in a small pickup, you can build a leveling device that is as accurate and versatile as the most expensive rotating laser level or optical transit on the market. In fact, this low-cost level can do a few tricks that neither of those top-of-the-line tools can do at any price — "seeing through" or leveling around obstructions, for instance.

The article continues:

…an ancient tool that works on the principle that water always seeks its own level. Fill a long, flexible tube with liquid, and the liquid at both ends will be at the same level whether you're holding them together or spreading them a hundred feet apart.

Water seeks its own level by flowing downhill.  This fact is arguably common sense, though it is often attributed to gravity.  The United States Geological Survey, on its website usgs.gov, describes the phenomenon:

One word can explain why any river exists on Earth—gravity. You've heard that "water seeks its own level," but really water is seeking the center of the Earth, just like everything else. In practical terms, water generally seeks to flow to the oceans, which are at sea level. So, no matter where on Earth water is, it tries to flow downhill. With the Earth being a very unlevel place, water ends up occupying the valleys and depressions in the landscape as rivers and lakes.

The myth that water flows down the drain in a different direction depending on the hemisphere, referred to as Coriolis force (also referred to as ‘fictitious force’), is not based on facts.  The Library of Congress verifies that the actual explanation which determines how water goes down a drain is much less complicated:

It all depends upon how the water was introduced and the geometric structure of the drain.

The properties of water are simple and straightforward, and not consistent with how liquid on an “oblate-spheroid” would behave.
